Key Thought

With so much fascination on angels the last couple of decades, this promise should simply astound us. Our being, our relationships, and our lives will be brought to a higher level of existence after the resurrection. Glory awaits those who belong to Christ. Joy is our future. Victory is our destiny. Transformation into perfection lies ahead. Our eyes will behold our Savior and we will be like the angels. Praise God for such a future. Hallelujah!

Prayer

O Father, give my heart wings to soar on the faith of such wonderful words. Make them more than words to me. Help me believe and embrace my future with you with great and triumphant joy. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Related Scriptures

The Spirit that we received is not a spirit that makes us slaves again and causes us to fear. The Spirit that we have makes us God’s chosen children. And with that Spirit we say, “Abba, Father.” And the Spirit himself joins with our spirits to say we are God’s children. If we are God’s children, then we will get the blessings God has for his people. We will get these things from God. God will give us all that he has given Christ. But we must suffer like Christ suffered. Then we will be able to share his glory. We have sufferings now. But the sufferings we have now are nothing compared to the great glory that will be given to us. Everything that God made is waiting with excitement for the time when God will show the world who his children are. The whole world wants very much for that to happen.
Romans 8:15-19

And we are also happy with the troubles we have. Why are we happy with troubles? Because we know that these troubles make us more patient. And this patience is proof that we are strong. And this proof gives us hope. And this hope will never disappoint us—{it will never fail}. Why? Because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts. God gave us his love through the Holy Spirit. That Holy Spirit was a gift to us from God.
Romans 5:3-5

When the body is “planted,” it is without honor. But it is raised in glory. When the body is “planted,” it is weak. But when it is raised, it has power. The body that is “planted” is a physical body. When it is raised, it is a spiritual body. There is a physical body. So there is also a spiritual body.
1 Corinthians 15:43-44
