Key Thought

If we love Jesus and remember his suffering and humiliation on the Cross, we too can gather our courage and stand up for him—even when there is much to lose and there appears to be nothing to gain. However, we need to remember that there is always something to be gained because God can do great things even from our faithfulness in the smallest things.

Prayer

O God Almighty, stir my courage and empower me to stand for Jesus even when things do not look promising and many enemies surround me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Hebrews 13:1-3

The people that live now are living in a sinful and evil time. If any person is ashamed of me and my teaching, then I will be ashamed of that person. I will be ashamed of that person at the time I come with the glory of my Father and the holy angels."
Mark 8:38

Don't be afraid of the things that will happen to you. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison. He will do this to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But be faithful, even if you have to die. If you continue faithful, then I will give you the crown of life.
