Key Thought

Preaching, teaching and healing. Three key elements of authentic ministry are (1) proclaiming the good news of God's Kingdom, (2) teaching people how to live obediently to the will of God, and (3) ministering to their brokenness with the grace and power of God. With all the modern technologies we have today, we must always remember that ministry involves these same three elements if it is to be authentic.

Prayer

Almighty and compassionate Father, give me eyes to see and ears to hear those who need your grace—not just today, but every day. Help me to be wise in the way that I offer that care so that I may minister to their needs by your power and according to your will. In the name of the Lord Jesus I pray. Amen.

Related Scriptures

So we continue to tell people about Christ. We use all wisdom to counsel every person and teach every person. That strength is working in my life.
Colossians 1:28-29

Matthew 28:19-20

Saul agreed that the killing of Stephen was a good thing. Some men that truly worshiped God buried Stephen. They cried very loudly for him. On that day the Jews began to persecute the group of believers in Jerusalem. The Jews made them suffer very much. Saul was also trying to destroy the group. Saul went into their houses. He dragged out men and women and put them in jail. All the believers left Jerusalem. Only the apostles stayed. The believers went to different places in Judea and Samaria. The believers were scattered everywhere. Every place the believers went they told people the Good News.
