Anna Duggar, 28, is on the brink of a divorce with her cheating husband Josh, 28, and it looks for real this time around.
According to The Daily Mail, Anna suddenly has had enough and plans to file divorce papers against her husband of eight years “in the next few weeks.”
Although talk of Anna formally splitting with the disgraced TV personality has been swirling since last year, the devout Christian wife dispelled all the rumours in August when she vowed to continue supporting her husband.
She made the pledge following Josh’s discharge from a faith-based rehab centre that treats sex and porn addiction. Previous to his voluntary confinement and treatment at the rehab facility for six months, Josh had been caught in a web of molestation and cheating scandals.
Anna even expressed her dedication to Josh on the family’s new TV show “Counting On.”
However, the print edition of In Touch Weekly reported this week that Anna appears to have finally given up on Josh.
The publication said Anna made her decision when “new friends” reached out to her to express their concern over the way she is being treated by her husband’s family.
Her unidentified “new friends” told Anna that she was just being used by the Duggar family as a “puppet” and a tool with which to try and boost their son’s image.
“They were horrified that she’d been persuaded to talk on-camera about Josh, and then wheeled out with the children, looking like everything was fine,” a source said.
The source said the views of her “new friends” appeared to have made a big impact on Anna, adding that she now “agrees and feels angry that Josh has treated her so appallingly for so long.”
The sources said Anna wants sole custody for the couple’s four children—Mackynzie, 7; Michael, 5; Marcus, 3; and Meredith, 15 months.
She also intends to move away from the Duggar family residence in Arkansas to be with her friends and family in Florida, or with her sister in Texas. Insiders say Anna “wants to be as far away from Josh as possible.”
A source also revealed that Josh and Anna tried for a fifth baby, but after “nothing happened,” Anna took it as a “sign from God” that they should not have any more children together.
