Next up in the line of pro-abortion groups who are taking a swing at Donald Trump is Emily’s List.
The pro-abortion political group just launched a new website called Women Can Stop Trump, which attacks the Republican presidential candidate and labels him “anti-woman,” TIME reports. Emily’s List also has been partnering with Planned Parenthood to attack Trump in a series of online ads.
“Women made up 53% of voters in 2012, and if we turn out again to vote this year we can single-handedly stop Trump. Join our fight,” the pro-abortion group’s website says. “He wants to ban abortions, punish women who have them, and appoint anti-choice justices to the Supreme Court. If elected, he would be a nightmare for women.”

The EMILY’S List website features comments Trump has made like “putting a wife to work is a dangerous thing,” and that there should be “some form of punishment” for women who have abortions, a comment that Trump later walked back.
“Trump is simply unfit to be president. He’s a dangerous, divisive fraud who is well-known for his history of offensive anti-woman comments and behavior,” said Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILY’s List. “With a candidate like him, it’s no surprise that more women than ever are stepping up to stop him at the ballot box.”
Trump has said “I’m going to be really good for women,” and said Clinton is “playing the woman card.”
The attack is ironic given that Emily’s List opposes laws that protect unborn baby girls from discriminatory sex-selection abortions. Its chosen candidate, Hillary Clinton, recently slammed a new Indiana law that protects unborn babies from being aborted because of their sex, race or a disability like Down syndrome.

Trump, who says he is pro-life, has made some comments about abortion that have caused concern among pro-lifers. However, his recent statements and actions have helped to mollify some fears, one being his recent pick for a vice presidential running mate — Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, who is a strong pro-life advocate.
The Trump-Pence ticket poses a stark contrast to Clinton, who is being labeled the most extreme pro-abortion presidential candidate in history. Clinton promised Planned Parenthood that she will work to overturn the Hyde Amendment and force taxpayers to pay for abortions if elected. She also promised that she would nominate only U.S. Supreme Court justices who support abortion on demand.
In comparison, Trump recently released a well-received list of 11 potential Supreme Court nominees — a list pro-life groups hailed for having strong supporters of the Constitution. He also told a group of more than 1,000 pro-life leaders and activists that he would appoint pro-life judges.
Trump has specifically promised he would sign a bill as president to de-fund Planned Parenthood. In an interview with David Brody of CBN, Trump made that promise:
David Brody: “As a President Trump, if a bill came to your desk that would de-fund Planned Parenthood you would support that, you would sign that?”
Donald Trump: “Yes, because as long as they do the abortion I am not for funding Planned Parenthood… As long as they’re involved with abortion, as far as I’m concerned forget it, I wouldn’t fund them regardless. I would de-fund Planned Parenthood because of their view and the fact of their work on abortion…. I am for de-funding Planned Parenthood as long as they are involved with abortion.”
Trump also said he thinks the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court case that ushered in an era of 48 million abortions was “wrongly decided.” Trump said he would appoint “very good judges” who would ultimately “change it” but he opposed Roe without specifically saying it should be overturned.
