From a marketing perspective, the name “Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital” suggests a place where women and children can go seeking healthcare and health-affirming treatments in times of illness.

However, a recent ABC News report divulges that abortions are occurring at this “children’s hospital.”

There is nothing about abortion that suggests healthcare for either a mother or her child.

“Certainly, not all women experience emotional problems following induced abortion. However…an alarm..

Mark 2:3,4 – And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.

I love the miracles of Jesus. We catch glimpses of His glory when we look again at His marvelous works. Today’s verse speaks about the paralyzed man who was carried by four friends to see Jesus. There were too many people crowding around Jesus ..

I first noticed the problem as a Gang Detail officer in the early 1990’s. I was raising two and four year old boys at the time and I was interested in what caused the young men in my community to become gangs..

In her own words, Ohden brings a formidable testimony against abortion as she outlines the hurt and inner pain she dealt with as a teenager trying to cope with the knowledge she was so unwanted by her biological family, they attempted to end her life. She believes now that she developed post-traumatic stress reaction to the revelation of her beginnings as well as survivor’s guilt that she lived and so many others were destroyed by abortion. Her depression developed into anorexia, bulimia, alcoho..

He told us how many of them did not cry the first night.

In 2004 I learned about foster care from Perry Downs, a long-time professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He and his wife had taken in many children over the years. When he would check on them, they were screaming into their pillows. They had learned that they would be beaten if they cried, so he would only see silent screams.

Twelve years and a few kids later, my wife and I have opened our home to foster children. We have be..

“The kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power” (1 Corinthians 4:20).

If we are not disillusioned with how much we have allowed our talk to pass for our walk, discontented with the sparse amount of spiritual fruit we are truly bearing, and disappointed by the impotence of our own efforts, we will never be distressed enough to really plead with God to fill us with the Holy Spirit.

If we’re not disturbed by how little we can do in our own power, we’ll never be desperate enough to ..

If you’ve followed major trends in American life, you’ve heard of “hookup culture.” A brand-new book, American Hookup, by sociologist Lisa Wade shows that boundaries-free sexuality is now the dominant force in shaping campus sexual culture. Wade’s text, driven by reports from students themselves, shows that many are bewildered and broken by modern sexual codes. Wade believes the solution to this reality is to dive further into hookup culture. “We need to say yes to the opportunity for casual sex..
