We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house.

Psalm 65:4

Morning

We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. § He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He has sent away empty.

He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness. § I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.

Do you now believe?

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? … Faith … , if it does not have works, is dead.

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son … concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead. § Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? … You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

He who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

By their fruits you will know them. Not everyone who says to Me, “Lord, Lord,” shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. § If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
