The Christian watchdog group One Million Moms is upset with retail giant H&M because it recently came out with a TV ad called "She's A Lady," which features two teenage girls kissing.

The group's director Monica Cole wrote in an article for the American Family Association that her organisation "is not sure of H&M clothing company's thought process behind their new television ad, but if they are attempting to offend customers and families, they have succeeded."

Cole called out the "She's A Lady" commercial because it shows a woman wearing skimpy lingerie, according to The Christian Post. The commercial ends with two teenage girls engaging in a steamy make-out session while underwater.

"Parents find this type of advertising inappropriate and unnecessary especially since H&M's target market is teens," Cole said.

For its part, H&M said through their spokesperson that the commercial simply hopes to portray diversity among modern women.

"The latest campaign celebrates diversity as well as inspirational women from various backgrounds, encouraging women around the world to embrace their personal style and take pride in who they truly are and what they stand for," the spokesperson explained.

Previously, One Million Moms called out Hardee's and Carl's Jr. for featuring three scantily clad models licking the sauce off in their Bacon 3-Way Thickburger "Fantasy" commercial.

"Will Hardee's and Carl's Jr. ever learn? They are at it again with another disgusting ad," the group wrote on its website. "Their current sensual 3-way advertisement follows the pattern set by their last commercial featuring girls in skimpy shorts playing in a volleyball game. These ads are extremely degrading to women and should be pulled off the air immediately."

The group considers the ad of CKE Restaurants as "soft porn," and warns families against patronising their establishments unless the ad is pulled down.
