Aaron Gillespie Debuts First Track from ‘Out of the Badlands’

Aaron Gillespie has debuted the first track from his upcoming album Out of the Badlands. The song is a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” You can listen to the track on Alternative Press.

According to an accompanying interview, Gillespie shared that he chose to cover the song because it was part of his personal healing process following a divorce earlier this year. He explained “Sometimes a song just resonates with you right where you are and with what you’re going through. This was that song for me… Saying exactly what’s happening in your life is therapy. This is my therapy.”

The song is one of two covers on the album, the other being his take on U2’s “Where the Streets Have No Name.” The rest of the tracklist will be comprised of reimagined songs from The Almost and Underoath alongside new[…]
