SHINEBRIGHT Says Goodbye

After nine years as a band–the last five with BEC Recordings–pop/rock band SHINEBRIGHT has announced that the group has come to an end.

In an official statement released Thursday, the band–which now consists of singer-songwriter Emily Fertig and her husband, guitarist Nathan Fertig–said that a series of events and a sense of “changing seasons” has led to the band’s conclusion.

The farewell statement shared how they faced difficulty and tremendous hardship since the beginning of 2015, when the Fertigs quit their jobs and moved from Ohio to Nashville–with the band’s lead singer suffering from ongoing health issues and the young married couple enduring financial hardship.

“Leaps don’t usually come with cotton candy clouds at the bottom,” the statement reads, “but we did find the bottom.”
