PHOENIX (BP) — Housing reservations will open at 8 a.m. Oct. 1 for the Southern Baptist Convention 2017 Annual Meeting set for June 13-14 at the Phoenix Convention Center, 100 N. 3rd St. in Phoenix.

Online reservations may be made around the clock at sbcannualmeeting.net/sbc17/pdf/2017Housing.pdf. Reservations by phone will be available beginning Oct. 3 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Eastern time Monday through Friday at 1-800-967-8852 toll-free or 1-847-996-5832.

“We are busily preparing for and looking forward to our 2017 SBC annual meeting to be held in Phoenix, Arizona, June 13-14, 2017,” annual meeting manager Bill Townes said. “In order to accommodate the many attendees at both the SBC annual meeting and SBC Pastors’ Conference, our hotel reservation system will open as usual on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at 8 a.m. Central time for online reservations and Monday, Oct. 3, at 8 a.m. Eastern time by phone.”

The Sheraton Grand Phoenix is the official convention hotel, located a block from the convention site.

Hotel rates, ranging from $89 to $165 at 16 recommended hotels, are available with hotel locations on an interactive map at sbcannualmeeting.net/sbc17/hotels.

Housing may be reserved at special convention rates through May 17, 2017, according to the registration site, at any of recommended hotels, which may charge deposits to credit cards on or after May 17.

The SBC will not offer shuttle service, according to the site, due to the recent decline in shuttle usage, close proximity of hotels, and the availability of “excellent local transportation options.”
