“Women’s March” Leaders Lie and Say Pro-Life Women Were Welcome Even After Kicking Them Out

On Saturday’s New Day on CNN, during a segment with two organizers from the left-wing Women’s March on Washington, D.C., CNN host Alisyn Camerota brought up the issue of pro-life women’s groups being unwelcome even though the liberal activist group tries to market itself as if it represents all women.

But her guests misleadingly tried to deny that pro-life groups are not welcome as they claimed that everyone is generally invited to show up and march, ignoring the fact that the group recently kicked a pro-life women’s group off the “Partners” list on its website.

At 8:24 a.m. ET, Camerota posed:

One of our Republican contributors — one of the Republican consultants, Alice Stewart, she was on CNN and she said it’s not a march for all women. In fact, she said that the largest conservative group — they’re called “Concerned Women of America” — that they were not invited, they don’t feel included. What’s your response?

As if conservatives would want to attend and allow their numbers to boost a group that openly advocates the opposite of their views, guest Margaret Huang of Amnesty International USA responded:

Everyone has been invited today. This is an open mall. All activists are welcome. It’s why you’ll see some signs that may not be aligned with others in terms of messaging. I think the key is, people are willing to stand up, and people are willing to be activists for what they care about. And in this case, it’s human rights for everyone.

The CNN host followed up: “So you mean you didn’t extend an official invitation to some groups, but you’ll take all comers? And conservative women are invited if they want to join in?”

Without noting the pro-abortion message of the event, Huang misleadingly responded: “If they are ready to march. The platform that the march has identified is a very expansive one with inclusion of key issues. We’re welcome to have everyone with us.”

Fellow guest Pam Campos-Palma added:

And the key is openness, right? The key is this is why we came to this political moment of hate and bigotry. I respect the office of the President. I do not respect someone making their vote demonizing and criminalizing communities that have served this country.

And so we, in Vets Versus Hate, we have libertarians, we have conservatives because we are willing to work with each other, something that frankly politicians have not done. And you’re seeing a grassroots movement that is willing to do that.
