Thought
Jesus has told us that he stands at the door and knocks, waiting for us to open up to him (Revelation 3:20). This invitation is for believers, for Christians, for those who claim to follow Christ. We can so easily find our passion lost to being lukewarm. So Jesus speaks to his churches and urges them, and us, to hear what the Spirit says. In this case, be earnest and repent — change our hearts and minds to follow the teaching and example of Jesus with passion!
Prayer
Father in heaven, thank you for speaking to us through the ministry and words of Jesus. Thank you for speaking to us through the message of the Scriptures inspired by your Spirit. I open my heart to your message and ask that I be convicted and motivated by your will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
