Verse
At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure."
Thought
For several days, we will see the link between joy and the Holy Spirit. Jesus, of course, is our great example in this. If the presence of the Holy Spirit led Jesus to be full of joy, then the Spirit can and will bring this blessing into our lives. So let's learn to seek the Spirit's presence and respond with our sincerest and heart-felt praise.
Prayer
I do praise you, Father, for you alone are God. I know that through good times and bad, my praise comes to you by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in me and intercedes for me. Thank you for saving me and sharing your grace with me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
