Family That Owns “The Container Store” Gives $1 Million to Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz

The Container Store founders’ Boone Family Foundation, as well as the Harold Simmons Foundation, together donated $2 million to Planned Parenthood, the Dallas Morning News reported.

These organizations say they are dedicated to providing care for women and children, yet they each gave $1 million to the largest abortion business in the United States. Planned Parenthood aborts almost 330,000 unborn children every year, according to its own reports.

The Boone Family Foundation is an organization that works to help “advance equity for women and girls,” “improve quality of life for children,” and “promote environmental stewardship,” according to its website. Similarly, the Harold Simmons Foundation was established to “improve the quality of life of all our members of our community.” Both organizations are based in Texas.

The money donated to Planned Parenthood will fund birth control for women in Dallas-Fort Worth. The funds will also allow for testing of sexually transmitted diseases, according to the report. The program officially begins in September, and is expected to reach 1,000 women each year over a three-year span, the report states. While there is no mention of the donations being used for abortions, the money likely will be used to help promote and expand abortions, if only indirectly, at Planned Parenthood.

Betsy Healy, grants director for the Harold Simmons Foundation, said: “For us, it’s really just about access to the best health care for all women in Dallas. We felt this was an option women should have. It’s about removing the cost barrier.”

Cecilia Boone founded the Boone Family Foundation along with her husband, Garrett, co-founder of The Container Store. Cecilia Boone is a former chair of Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood of North Texas Action Fund, according to newspaper.

Boone stated: “Planned Parenthood is a trusted provider of health care in our communities, and we’re proud to partner with Planned Parenthood for such a transformational program. Each time a Texas woman has expanded access to health care and education, regardless of her ZIP code, income or insurance status, it is a win for public health and for our communities.”

Planned Parenthood claims to be an organization that protects and helps women. However, evidence continues to show that is not the case. In 2014, for example, the abortion giant gave one of its Colorado abortion clinics an award for killing more babies in abortions. And former staff have admitted it has abortion quotas. Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report also showed its non-abortion services, such as breast exams and cancer screenings are declining while its abortion numbers remained steady.

This evidence and more shows that Planned Parenthood’s first interest is purely financial, and its profits come from killing unborn babies in abortions.
