Here are seven Bible verses in reference to tomorrow.
Proverb 27:1 “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.”It’s natural to talk about tomorrow and things you’ve planned to do but no one knows if tomorrow will even come for us. We do know that everyone has a day appointed unto death and that judgment will follows (Heb 9:27), so this side of the grave we must be sure we’re in a right relationship with God. We can boast about our eternity because of the Savior’s work..

The gospel should never be reduced to simply a message of personal salvation. Doing so leaves us with a malnourished understanding of the gospel. It is much more than a message of personal salvation, but this is not to say that personal salvation is not an important part of the gospel. Instead, personal s..

We’re quickly approaching the midpoint of the year, and it’s been an interesting one. If you look at the box office reports, it’s been a blase year, unless you’re Disney.

But in terms of quality, it’s not been bad. Usually, I reach the midpoint of the year and wonder if I’m going to be able to have enough to fill a top ten list in six months. This year, I already have at least five films that I know will kill me to leave off the year-end list. So I thought, in the interest of getting pageviews m..

Does the Trinity really matter to our regular lives? And with this supposed “trinitarian revival” of the last 75 years, what are the options? Have things really changed? Or is it all useless?

Well, Zondervan’s Two views on the Doctrine of the Trinity brings together two examples of a “classical” understanding and two examples of a “relational” understanding of the Trinity into conversation, and we’re going to spend..

To understand the underlying message of The Conjuring 2, you just have to look at its calendar.
The trials of the Hodgson family take place during London’s drippy, dark December. The days are growing shorter, the nights colder. And the things that go bump in the night at the Hodgson’s north London home are becoming ever more bold. Christmas spirit? More like Christmas spirits. Given the ghoulies that 11-year-old Janet Hodgson (Madison Wolfe) is dealing with, the girl would tell you ..

JOS, Nigeria (Morning Star News) – Young Muslim men stabbed a non-Muslim in Kaduna state on Tuesday (June 7) for failing to observe a day-time fast during the month-long Islamic celebration of Ramadan, according to local reports.

So, one morning, I was scrolling on my TimeHop app and I saw that five years ago, around this time – my husband and I were in Dubai! It was SO much fun! We went out to visit a friend and host a small bible study.
No kids.
No mommy guilt.
No “what is so & so doing?”
No worrying about my babies.
No stressing out about my babies.
No food prep before you leave for your babies.
No arranging with family members.
No nothing.
Just a couple of carefree people, enjoying Dubai!
A photo I snapped in 20..

I love to see young people give their lives to Jesus. I love to see them commit to him in faith, dying with him in baptism, and starting a journey with him that will last the rest of their lives… and beyond.

But as much as those young commitments bring me joy, I’m truly moved by those who come to Christ late in life. Many of us become set in our ways as we grow older, but some are willing to be born again despite their advanced years.

Last month in Cuba, I got to see several people be baptized i..

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A growing number of Americans believe religious liberty is on the decline and that the nation’s Christians face growing intolerance.

They also say American Christians complain too much.

Those are among the findings of a new study of views about religious liberty from LifeWay Research. Researchers surveyed 1,000 Americans in September 2013 and September 2015 and then compared the results.

Two-thirds (63 percent) say Christians face increasing intolerance, up..

Introspection is a skill that is undervalued these days. For the classical Christian philosophers, introspection was the ability to look within oneself, to meditate on one’s thoughts and feelings, and to separate one’s constructive and unconstructive reflections. To read their writings is immediately to encounter their impressive introspective powers. They had an astounding ability to conform their minds and behaviors to God’s will, down to the last cognitive detail. For many of them, introspection was a treasured skill that they had cultivated via years of practice.

Why did the classical Christian philosophers consider introspection to be so important? In part it was so that they could better love God. Introspection enabled them to identify their selfish and sinful cognitive habits. Sins like adultery, theft, and deception were for them the mere external and visible manifestations of an internal corruption. For ..
