A dog doing the Mannequin Challenge?

In a viral video posted on his Facebook page, Cody Bennett of Florida and his friends are seen frozen in time as they play cards around a table.

But that's not what makes the video footage unique. After all, many people, including celebrities, worldwide have already caught on the latest video trend on the Internet that began just recently.

Bennett's video is different though from many others that have been posted on social media. This is because a dog has stolen the show!

Since Bennett posted the video on his Facebook page on Friday, it has gone viral with more than 500,000 views, with many expressing amazement at the pet pooch in a playful unmoving pose lying on its back—one paw up and one paw down—as the scene was being filmed.

The obviously well-trained dog held still for several minutes as the camera panned around the room showing people "frozen" while talking to each other as the track "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd played in the background.

The footage is just one of many Mannequin Challenge video clips that have been posted on social media.

Various celebrities in show business, sports and even politics—including losing U.S. Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton—have all made their own versions of the Mannequin Challenge.

Clinton made her mannequin act on the night before Election Day. She participated in a video together with her husband Bill, singer Jon Bon Jovi, her close aide Huma Abedin and various staffers on her campaign plane, according to ABC News.

U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama also posed for a mannequin video with the NBA champions Cleveland Cavaliers on Nov. 10 at the White House, according to CBS Sport.

Other celebrities who have participated in the Mannequin Challenge are the former members of Destiny's Child (Beyoncé, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland), Adele, Ellen DeGeneres with Warren Beatty, Blac Chyna with Rob Kardashian, country singer Garth Brooks and one of the two surviving Beatles Sir Paul McCartney, who did the challenge on Twitter by standing by a piano frozen while the track "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd was playing.

The latest pop cultural phenomenon was reportedly started by a group of students from a school in Jacksonville, Florida, at around Halloween this year using the hashtag #MannequinChallenge.

All the participants in this fad have to do is get together, strike a pose, and stay still—like mannequins—for several minutes as the camera pans through the scene.
