Verse
[God said through Ezekiel,] “I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.”
Thought
The coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2) and in our own conversion (Acts 2:38-39; Titus 3:3-7), is a reminder that God promised to fill us with himself, his Holy Presence, the Spirit. He keeps his word. And the gift of the Spirit is an ongoing reminder that the LORD has spoken and done it, for our good out of his grace.
Prayer
Almighty LORD, Father of mercy and God of all grace, thank you for filling me with your Spirit to remind me that you have spoken and kept your word to us. Give me a deeper appreciation of your promises and a more passionate anticipation of their fulfillment. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
